Virtually Launching the HSCNI ‘Our People Framework’
June 17, 2024David has enjoyed a long and successful working career with the Southern Trust and was delighted to be asked to host its virtual launch of its ‘Our People Framework’.
The Southern Health and Social Care Trust provides health and social care services across the five council areas of Armagh, Banbridge, Craigavon, Dungannon, and Newry and Mourne. It employs approximately 13,000 staff and spends £532 million annually in the delivery of health and social care services in hospitals, community settings and, in some instances, individuals’ homes.
The launch of its Our People Framework was to set the direction of its people strategy from 2022-2025. David’s role was to bring fun, energy and engagement but also to show the individuals and the leaders how they can use the proven psychological tools of high performance to help get the best out of their teams.
David explained:
“This audience in particular, are truly vocational and want to make a difference in their communities. This is why it is so important that they are invested in and recognised and feel like the work they are doing is making a difference.”
At the event David shared how the leadership in the Trust can take a people-centred approach – from investing in their people, to nurturing them and developing them, to training and educating and also making sure they are equipped with the personal and professional skills they need to navigate uncertainty.
As ever David’s session, while impactful, was also fun, engaging and interactive.
Speaking afterwards he said:
